“This is my view from home; my multi-sensory view of the landscape. I hold close an appreciation of the beauty of our surrounding landscapes and have grown up among artists who represent these views in beautiful but traditional ways. I am interested in a looser, more contemporary approach to watercolour painting. During plein air sessions, I work intuitively, focusing on authenticity of marks and representing sounds through line. My two boys, both on the spectrum, have taught me to value the senses. Now I seek to represent the full sensory experience of landscapes on paper.”
