Charleville Artist in Residence in Schools

A week’s Artist in Residence on behalf of Flying Arts to teach workshops to students at Charleville State Primary and High Schools. As the plane flew west the landscape colours changed from green to yellow ochre, burnt sienna and raw umbers.

Primary students were engaged in artworks on envelopes based on their environments and hopes for the future of their landscape. Secondary students explored their current landscape through sensory engagement. Following this they learnt new skills in watercolour and produced an artwork of what they would like Charleville or the world to look like in the future.
